All the teams have banners that they bring and hang up near their seats in the Ice Hall. This is the Japanese Team.

The rest of the day I'm going to be taking pictures, because the other days I'll be busy videotaping.

There was a very nice dinner for the USA Team tonight. Introduced everyone, handed out pins, gave credit where credit is due, and got everyone up to date.

One of the must see attractions at Helsinki is the Suomenlinna Sea Fortress. My favorite part was climbing through the dark tunnels underground with a flashlight.

After getting here and checking into hotel I took a walk around. The picture above I believe is the ice hall where the competition is going to be held.

As a side note I was thoroughly impressed with Lufthansa on my transatlantic flight. Great service and lots of free booze, starting with beer, then wine for dinner, then refill on the wine, then baileys for dessert. And this was in the cheap economy seats.
